My name's Brittany. I've been writing trance since 2007, and I'm making my goal this year to get signed. I put all effort possible into my tracks, and I hope you like them, they are for your pleasure!

A few thoughts:

1,2,3 - Made me smile. :D Don't refer to Karco though, but to KarcoReviewAlt and maybe BasicsOfEDM - that's where all the useful stuff is.

6/8 - Basically the same thing and can be combined into one point. I understand having 10 because it's a nice round number, but why not make better use of that space?

7 - Not really, if anything I've heard more Trance in Major/Minor scales than in Dorian, and lots of it is great no less. It's not really the type of scale used (I've even heard someone use phrygian once, incredibly well) as much as how it's used, and I suppose Major/Minor scales are the most well-known, and in turn, the most commonly misused.

As it is now, I think this is more of a rant and less of an article, as you haven't done much other than point problems out and give readers a vague idea of what they should be doing. Case in point, point 8 - it doesn't detail why it's a bad thing nor what should be done instead. Nothing about keeping the track alive and moving, or about how a track should have a decent number of supporting synths and/or FX sounds, etc.

Nice stuff, good effort. :D

You rated my rating guide? O.o

Well thanks, good points as well =P
